About Crush Pesto

Crush was developed and designed by No Rules Kitchen. Along No Rules’ culinary journey of food tests and food content creation they realised that pesto had long been left in the past, untouched and unchanged for hundreds of years. Imagine if the only pizza you could buy was a margherita, the only doughnut you could eat was filled with jam, and the only tea you could brew was breakfast tea. Well take a look at pesto – green or red?

  • Expand your horizons

While pasta may be the traditional pairing for pesto, Crush encourages culinary creativity beyond this classic dish. The world has become more interested in cooking at home, which is great!

  • Cut the costs

To recreate amazing recipes seen online, you must purchase many single use ingredients. This is expensive and contributes towards food waste. We want people to see our pestos as a jar of flavour instead of just a pasta sauce.

  • Make way for variety

These jars can be used as a substitute for a basket of herbs and spices in order to cook exciting, simple meals. The best part, head over to No Rules Kitchen to find endless recipes to cook with your new pesto, or scan the barcode on the back of any of our jars!

Produced in Australia

At Crush, we take pride in our commitment to quality and authenticity. All our pestos are made in Marrickville, Sydney, sourced from some of the finest ingredients in Australia.

We believe in supporting quality producers all across Australia and parts of Asia to ensure that every jar of Crush pesto reflects the rich flavours of the regions we are representing. Each batch is crafted with care, embodying the spirit of innovation while honouring traditional methods.

Indulge in our pesto

The fresh jarred pesto

Crush redefines what pesto can be by offering a fresh jarred experience that stands apart from conventional options. We believe our pesto is the best alternative to making pesto fresh yourself at home. This is due to the high quality of our recipes.

We use 100% extra virgin olive oil instead of canola oil, 100% fresh herbs instead of dried or puréed alternatives, and we use all Australian sourced sunflower seeds instead of cheaper nut alternatives.

This and our commitment to using no preservatives in our recipes means our process mirrors techniques of making pesto at home, but conventionally containing it in a jar for you with shelf life of 1 year followed by a shelf life of up to two weeks once opened and refrigerated.
